Lago De Garda
Lake Garda, the plants were stunning, the food was amazing, and the wine was perfect for the hot Italian summer days.
We will be back~ this is in the town of Sirmione, an ancient town built into the water.
Bougainvillea is a tropical, woody, thorny vine or shrub known for its vibrant, papery bracts (pink, magenta, red, orange, white, or yellow) that surround tiny, white, true flowers. It thrives in full sun (6+ hours) and hot climates, often used for covering walls, trellises, or in containers, and prefers well-drained, dry soil.

Boboli Gardens
On July 1 , we left for Sardinia, then we spent the following week in Lago di Garda, next visiting family in Florence, and Rome, finally flying home after nearly a month in Italy.
La Maison de Claude Monet à Giverny
La Maison de Claude Monet à Giverny, maybe the most amazing garden tour a plant lover could imagine.
In July of 2023, we spent two weeks in France, split between Paris and the South of France.
I loved the depth of color Monet used in his home. I was inspired by how he used a single bold color and then accented the room with the same color in a different shade or tone. There were bold yellows, greens, and blues. The garden was lovely and had spaces that were representative of Japanese gardens as well as more cottage-style gardens.
I could visit Giverny in every season and still wish to go back. My dream would be a quiet visit, experiencing the space as if it were my own.
